elf ...

Recently there was a coupon code for elf which enabled you to get 50% off your order, well since ive never ordered anything from them before i decided to go for it and order a few things, im going to share some of those things here :)

The complete lists of things that i got were:

2 lipsticks
Contouring blush and bronzer duo
Gotta Glow highlighter
Brightning eye colour - lux
Natural Radiance blusher
Mineral foundation
Powder Brush
Mineral eye primer
Duo fibre brush
Eyshadow Brush

Unfortunatley i cant picture all items atm (- dont have them at hand right now) so im going to do mini reviews on what i can :)

...

The contouring Blush and Bronzing powder althought may not be evident from picture is actually really sparkly both powders have gold sparkle running throughout them which is quite noticable even on the cheeks, not something i usually go for but tbh the colours are really preety, the blush is a typical baby pink whilst the bronzer is not too muddy neither to orange, a nice compact and i would reccommend it. However you do have to be extremley careful because the powders are pigmented but there not finley milled so can sometimes not blend well on cheeks, be carful just to tap off your brush before applying to get rid of any excess producty. A nice product for £3.50 or £1.25 in my case haha

The gotta glow highlighter is a white highlighting powder with gold shimmer, it definetely is not a day time powder highlighter because it is really noticable when you wear it but as a night out product i would reccommend it. However similar to the blush and bronzer duo you need to tap off your brush before applying the powder and it can sometimes be chalky which i dont like, i havent used it all that often because of this but for the price it is nice colour and good for a night out!

The natural radiance blusher is really nice and i have the colour "coy" it is slightly purple undertoned but is a nice deep pink colour and again quite chalky but thats something to be expected of all elf cheek products i have come to realise. The colour would be suitable on most skintones, and for £1.50 its a nice product.

The brightning eye colour quad in "luxe" has four shades, a yellow/gold highlighter, a deep pink, a light brown and a darker brown with a green undertone, this would be really nice on green/hazel eyes and i love this quad, mainly the highlighting shade, oh and all the colours are shimmery there are no matte shades.

The mineral powder foundation i DO NOT LIKE, this made my skin oily all day and the coverage is not great, i had heard so many good things about this product and it was such a disapointment i really wanted to like it as my first mineral foundation and people had been comparing it to the Laura Mercier one - which is something i have wanted to try but i wouldnt reccommend this product, also the colour selection isnt that large and what i thought would match  my skintone actually doesnt match me that well atall. The powder also can look quite ashy on my skin and i dont think it caters for a paler complexion because i bought one of the lightest shades and its still much darker, i do not reccommend this product!

The powder brush, this is a nice brush  that lived up to my expectations, its great for liquid foundation, i woudnt really say to use it for many other things as its too dense and would just place the product on the skin rather than blend it in but if you are looking for a airbrushed finish to your skin this brush works great.. go buy it!! lol

Finally, the mineral eyeshadow primer, again im not particularly keen on this product, it was too watery and greasy for me and i didnt find it did much for my eyeshadows. I should have picked up the primer from the original range as i have heard this is comparable to UDPP but i think i thought this was the one that was lol. For now i will be sticking to UDPP as it works amazing and this didnt really do anything atall really!

I hope you liked these mini reviews and when i can get hold of my other products i will be sure to review those too but for now i hope you have happy elf shopping just remember alot of cheek products are chalky and ashy lol

I received my Burberry Body sample!

Today i received my sample of the new Burberry Body perfume, i heard about being able to get a 30ml bottle of the perfume for free through FleurdeForces blog but unfortunatley i got a sample that was 4.5ml. Im still really happy with it though because it smells amazing and it was a freebie so i cant complain haha.

Here is what my sample bottle looks like...

....

I am terrible at describing scents - sorry! but according to the official website the scents notes are peach, iris and rose, its definetely a pleasent fragrance and although its part of the burberry autumn winter collection i think it is a good all year long frangrance appropiate for day and night!

With that all being said its a costly perfume, if you were to buy the 35ml version it will cost £45, the 60ml £55 - definetely worth spending the extra £10 if you are considering buying the perfume and then finally the 85ml cost £75!

I will probably buy this perfume again because i really do like it, i would probably get the 60ml just because although it's expensive it seems like good value for money since i dont want to spend £75 on it myself haha. The perfume is definetely worth a sniff if you are passing by a perfume counter though, let me know what you think?

The Natural Collection vanilla body spray!

Anyone from the UK will probably have heard of  "The Natural Collection" but incase you havent it is bascially a range of beauty products at inexpensive prices! The makeup is all 3 for £5 and the products arent actually bad, but right now i would like to talk about the vanilla body spray!

Aa you can see i have used around half of it and i havent even had it for that long haha. If you like vanilla scented perfumes etc you will love this and suprisingly it practically lasts all day! i always get compliments when i wear it and people ask me what it is, its funny when i respond thats its actually a body spray rather than a perfume lol

At the time i bought this, there was a 3 for 2 offer on at boots - the brand that created this brand and where it is stocked. I decided to pick up the body spray (which is my favourite although i like them all ) the body lotion and the shower gel! They all smell amazing and i managed to get all three for around £5 which is incredible i really reccommend you go check the range out because even without the 3 for 2 they are only around £2 something each individually anyway so it wont break the bank and i can guarentee if you like vanilla scented products you will LOVE these!

My Thomas Sabo bracelet!

A Thomas Sabo bracelet is something i've wanted for a while now and for my birthday this year (i turned 18 yay) my mum bought be one :) i got the black beaded one with a four leaf clover charm and i really love it ! :)

I love the idea of these bracelets and i like the fact that they are interchangeable so you have the ability to mix and match different charms as you wish maybe to suit a particular occassion, you can have anywhere from 1-3 charms on the bracelet at one time although i think 3 charms is a little busy on these bracelets!

The bracelets retail for around £25 although there are some cheaper and some alot more expensive lol the charms range from around £20 upwards but they are great quality and are usually sterling silver!

What do you think of these bracelets, do you like them?
